Leadership

We have created a series of leadership courses and manuals to help our future leaders develop various life skills , so that they can draw on expertise and experience from all areas of their lives.  We will work one on one with schools and colleges of all sizes to create high-impact learning experiences that are tailored to the needs of each school. We can partner with you to develop a customized program that strengthens leadership at your school. Alternatively our existing leadership courses and manuals can also be customized to suite your individual needs.

Resilience and Personal Leadership - Recommended Grades 6-12

Resiliency is the ability to adapt and succeed despite risk and  adversity.  This module is taught using examples from movies like Apollo 13 starring Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon which is based on the true story of the moon-bound mission that developed severe trouble and the men that rescued it with skill and dedication.

Various other movie and video clips will be used to cover the  following:

  • Viewing challenges as opportunities.
  • Coping with adversity.
  • Taking control of your life.
  • Assertiveness.
  • Manage anxiety and doubt.
  • Balance adversity and risk.
  • Balance optimism and pessimism.
  • Decision-making, focus and intuition.
  • Mental flexibility and problem-solving.
  • Bouncing back after disappointments.

Emotional Intelligence - Recommended Grades: 6 – 12

This module is taught using examples from movies

like Miracle, which tells the true story of Herb Brooks the player-turned-coach who led the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team to victory over the seemingly invincible Russian squad.

Leading with Integrity and Moral Purpose

Recommended Grade 10-12

This module is taught using examples from movies like Gettysburg, which tells the story of the Northern and Southern forces battle at Gettysburg in 1863 during the decisive battle of the American Civil War.  Various other video and movie clips will be used depending on the needs of your school.
